End of Year Giving

God has moved and continues to move in powerful ways, and we want to celebrate how He has used your generosity in all that He has done. Because of your willingness to partner with Him, lives have been transformed by the love of Jesus. But God’s not done…He’s inviting us to go even further, and we invite you to invest in what’s next by saying yes to His invitation.

Giving Initiative Highlights

Planting 40 New Churches

God is using your generosity to plant churches in some of the least reached and most overlooked parts of the United States. Church planting is arguably the best investment we can make. That’s because church planting grows the Kingdom exponentially. When we plant churches, those churches can also plant new churches and so on, allowing the Gospel to spread even farther and quicker. Just this year alone, your generosity has helped plant seven new churches from Maine and Florida to Texas and Louisiana to the Pacific Northwest, well on our way toward our goal of 40 in five years.

Freeing 200 Victims of Sex Trafficking

Because of your “yes,” 25 victims of sex trafficking have found freedom in 2025. That’s 25 stories of hope and a future outside of slavery, stories like that of Tessa, who as a young mother in an abusive relationship was pressured into the adult entertainment industry. Fearing for her and her daughter’s lives but believing she didn’t deserve God’s love, Tessa’s only prayer was that He would save her daughter. God saved them both. While physically free, she remained emotionally bound for many years, that is until Jesus met her at her most broken place.Today, Tessa is a leader on our Anti-Sex Trafficking Ministry team, which is working to free 200 victims of sex trafficking in three years.

Unleashing the Next Generation

Your “yes” is enabling us to partner with God to ignite a movement in middle school, high school, and college students by pouring into them to be a light in the darkness of this world. This year, we’ve gotten to be a part of thousands of one-at-time stories of people being baptized, and because of your radical generosity in reaching the next two generations, nearly half of those baptisms were Gen Z and Gen Alpha. At a time when the headlines are often about the decline of faith among young people, we’re seeing them say YES to Jesus.

Expanding Our Reach

Since moving into its current building in May 2022, the Bullitt County Campus has seen both weekend attendance and the Student Ministry triple, while the Children’s Ministry is averaging 12 new kids each week. God also opened doors for us to serve even more Bullitt County families through the Shine Disabilities Ministry. It was through your generosity that we were able to partner with God in launching the Bullitt County Campus, but the Holy Spirit is still blowing. We’re expanding the Sanctuary while adding much-needed space for kids and students as we double down on reaching the next generation.

Stocks & Mutual Funds

Now is a great time to give stocks or mutual funds. Giving stocks is a great way not only to maximize your charitable giving through an investment you’ve made but also to do so in a tax-efficient manner as you avoid the capital gains tax on the investment while receiving a full charitable deduction! Consult with your financial and/or tax advisor to analyze your particular situation and confirm tax benefits.

IRA Charitable Distributions

If you are over 70-1/2 years old, then you may want to consider giving through a qualified charitable distribution (QCD). A QCD allows you to distribute directly from your IRA to Southeast Christian Church and the amount is not reported as taxable income or a charitable deduction on your tax return. In 2025, an IRA owner can make QCDs of up to $108,000 annually. This amount can be counted toward the IRA’s annual required minimum distribution (RMD). Consult with your financial and/or tax advisor to analyze your particular situation and confirm tax benefits.

Your financial institution may send your IRA charitable distribution by check to Southeast Christian Church, Attn: Contributions, 920 Blankenbaker Parkway, Louisville, KY 40243. If you have any questions or need further information, please contact the Contributions Team at 502.253.8707 or giving@secc.org.
